My Fellow Adventurers! I Need You!

Its not often I ask for help, but I really need your help! The season is just starting out, and as I said in my last post my outfits are being sorted but there is something YOU, yes you, can do to help me!

Some of you may be familiar with Twinwood Festival in Bedford, if not I suggest you check the link out! It is a huge festival devoted to vintage which happens in the last weekend of August. It is full to bursting with singing, dancing, fashion, music, the whole shebang!

Now, at this festival they run a competition, Miss Vintage UK, and this year (2016) is the first year I have been able to take part!  I'm not expecting to get through to the final but I know it would certainly mean the world to me if I did! This is where I need you, the photos have gone live and I need as many of you as possible to " Like" and "Share" my picture to increase my chances- At the moment I think I'm in the top 5. But we have until the end of May to keep me there! So please do "Like" and "Share" and help me on my way to the final!

Many thanks and Keep adventuring,
Hattie

A Day Out On The Trains

I've had a busy couple of weeks recently with photo shoots, but this has been my absolute favourite! On Good Friday I met the lovely David at Keighley Worth Valley Train Station and had a lot of fun doing a photoshoot... Vintage Style!

Choosing outfits was a challenge as we never know what the weather here in Blighty is going to be like! But it seems to me I had chosen the right outfits for what was quite a breezy day!

OUTFIT ONE

Outfit one consisted of a very old Collectif dress and a jacket I have had since I was about 10 years old!

The gloves were from Space in Harrogate, and the hat belonged to my Grandma. Sunglasses came from a stall at Grassington 1940's weekend! Did you know, Testament of Youth filmed the train station scenes at Keighley Train Station, so I have walked the steps of Kit Harrington and Colin Morgan *Swoons*.

We like to call this the Marilyn shot, as it is quite like a Marilyn Monroe picture!

OUTFIT TWO

I LOVE this dress so much, it's an original dress which belonged to my Great Grandma. Every time I wear it I think of what she may have done in this dress. My hat came from the fabulous Carolyn of Elegant Era in Harrogate.

We were so lucky, as the train came in when we did this second outfit, I truly felt as though I was in Brief Encounter!

OUTFIT THREE

This must have been my favourite outfit from this shoot, it is an orginal 1940's dress that the lovely Kimberly gave me in the Most Marvellous Vintage Swap Event!

As you can see, it really flatters your figure, the striped are very slimming, and obviously it gives the very authentic look!

I now personally want to take a moment to say thank you to the fabulous David Ashton of  David Ashton Photography for giving me this fabulous opportunity!

Until next time my darlings,
Keep adventuring,
