Sunday Best... On a Saturday?!

Backstage at the Fashion Show
So, I'm becoming a stupidly bad blogger! I'm my final 3 weeks of College and have a lot to be doing, but I haven't forgotten you!

Since entering Miss Vintage- see previous post, I've been handed a lot of opportunities. One of which was to take part in a fashion show put together by Esther and Cerise of the Sunday Best project.

The Sunday Best Project is funded by the Heritage Lottery fund, and is about celebrating the best of vintage fashion in Pendle, the great tales and happy memories of when people wore their Sunday Best. Sessions take part in the newly opened "The Shop" in Nelson.

Yesterday "The Shop" officially opened and to celebrate I was invited to tell some of the Sunday Best stories which was a real honour.
Me and the lovely Bailey as I told the "Sunday Best" Stories.
After the first half of the fashion show, spanning from 1950-1980 I was invited up onto the stage to tell my story of how I became a vintage sweetheart. This was quite nerve wracking for me as I don't like making speeches as I cry but I felt it was important for me to get up on that stage and tell everyone the importance of vintage and being yourself.
I've been sat now for a while and I've realised, 5 years ago if you said to me, where do you see yourself? I don't think I'd have said, dressed vintage 24/7 and competing in Miss Vintage UK 2016. I'd probably think I'd still be the sheep I was 5 years ago. I'm so happy I have made this life choice and I can't stress enough how important it is for you to follow your dreams and be who you want to be!

Don't forget to keep liking and sharing my Miss Vintage picture
